Hey fellas,

Does anyone know any good spots where we can park up the van and flick lures/livies around nearby to the campspot for a barra/queenie/jack? Were doing a big lap around Aus and would love to hear ur suggestions!? Free camp would be great or national park areas?

In Cairns, Ellis Beach Caravan Park is right on the water, all other parks are in the inner suburbs.

Palm Cove jetty is a five minute drive, good land based platform, watch your eyes though (plenty of flying tackle).

Barra in the pilons, pelagics/GT's out towards the end.

Plenty of great locations on the water between Townsville and Cairns, Lucinda and Mission Beach to name a few, Google Earth will be your friend.

Have a good one

Try Alva Beach just north of Ayr. Plenty of good fishing just off the beach. Yabbies plentiful, crabs, prawns. Don't be put off by the shallow water. Just talk to the parkies and they will show you where to go.

But book in now don't wait the place will fill up quickly very soon.

Google it and have a look.
