Coaming pads

Just about to put boat in to get reupholstered and will be getting coaming pads done aswell, i’m considering going black just to hide dirt and grime a bit better but am concerned about heat generation, does anyone have dark upholstery in there boats?

second the grey,black can get hot as hell. thinking of using some of that foam stuff they use on the decks..
