DF20A Engine Light

Any suzuki DF20A EFI owners out there or similiar or knowledgeable people who can let me know if the check engine light always lights up at start?

Or should it only illuminate when it needs servicing?

Can't say for 100% sure on that model, but it is common/normal for lights, alarm to sound at key on, have you just noticed it? is the motor new to you? have you read the owners manual? and lastly, Google??

Yes, normal on Suzukis.
