Just letting everyone know that Biosecurity QLD has eased restrictions regarding movement of crabs, lobsters and bugs from the White Spot Movement Control Zone (Caloundra, Moreton Bay to the border). They are now allowed to be moved outside the area as long as they stay within QLD (but not interstate - other states will not allow any white spot hosts from the zone unless they are cooked).

Of course, white spot hosts commonly used as bait (prawns, yabbies and polychaete worms) remain very high risk and are not permitted to be moved out of the movement control zone. No change there.

The other notable change is prohibition of all fishing within 100 meters of any prawn farms, including within their intakes.

More info and relevant maps can be found at the above link https://www.daf.qld.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0011/1255637/white-spot-guide.pdf
