After views from members with with plate ally hulls, If they use only wobble rollers or skids, with or without keel rollers. Asking as I'm again up for replacing all keel rollers and spindles again as rusting spindles split these rollers about every 2 years. I have a great drive on set up with plenty of skids supporting the hull and thinking of removing these rollers altogether. Having seen plenty of pressed ally hulls crack from no keel support, I set my trailer up years ago to support the keel, but have noticed a lot of plate boat trailers these days don't set up this way anymore. Only a light plate boat at 5m, approx 1200 kg. All feedback welcome.

You can get stainless spindles!

What he said, stainless spindles, and never replace them again. Spindles, that is, you will still wear chunks out of the rollers ( only use blue for ali) , but with a boat that size, if you are not operating on a lot of corrugated roads, shoudl last a long time.
