The Hook Point light has been re-aligned to reflect a safer passage.
At all times when you are about to cross this bar, contact Tin Can Bay Coast Guard ( QF 17 ) for up to date information.
It is advised for vessels with a draft more than 1mtr to cross the bar at high tide if possible, but can be 2 hours either side. This is due to the new passage running over a sandbar.
Call them on VHF 16, 67, 80 or 82
