Couldn't have that, no money in it if there isn't constant replacement of items that dont need replacing......

To be honest they should mAke the batteries like the Epirbs and have a 10 year limit, as I know myself and probably others would forget to Change batteries every year.

I checked with MSQ about 3 months ago regarding this issue. They at the time were unaware of the product. They soon got back to me stating that this product is a signalling devise only and does not replace the statutory requirement for pyrotechnic Marine flares.

If you look at a leading chandlery website they have this at the bottom of the page. (https://www.google.com.au/search?client=firefox-b&q=boat+chandlery&spell=1&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiRyYiOwpXSAhWFX5QKHWkWAm8QvwUIGCgA&biw=1536&bih=733)
