new mercury

Mate is looking at a new 200 mercury verado 4st,are there any issues or problems with the new supercharged 4strokes any info appreciated.

I hd a 135 Verado which was a peach, but, fuel economy wasn't great and service costs are much more than a "normal" Merc 4 stroke. Don't know of any "problems" as such.

A mate of mine has one, he loves it. It is thoroughly mistreated, has done about 800 troublefree hours. Fuel burn is pretty good, not allot more gas than my F150 Yamaha for the same sort of trips.

It lives in the water and he can't remember the last time he flushed it but it has given him precisely zero issues so far.

Never had one myself, but he rates it very highly.

No issues, have had a pair of 300 verados that did 1400 faultless hours, and just put another pair of them on,
Service costs were the same as previous Suzuki 300s, and fuel burn has been almost identical to previous suzukis also over the same amount of time.

Tell him to avoid Rifen marine for the merc if he is around your area bigjudge
