I have had a little problem with the flywheel rusting from new has anyone ever painted theirs ? If so what with I have also found that their is a Bing of some sort u see the flywheel that is very rusty and would like to replace it but I don't know what's u see it can anyone shed some light on this the oil pressure switch is rusty also
Me coated the motor in lanolin from new but stuff still goes rusty

Have been replacing the inner and outer anodes regularly?
I've got 2 2005 df140's and they look pretty much like new under the hood. Though they have done less than 300 hours which could be a factor

MAte I've got some phosphoric acid rust converter that will do the trick. Paint it on and all of that surface rust will turn black as the oxidised metal converts to substance very similar to what it started life as.
I haven't used it on a moving and wearing part like that but it certainly wont hurt. you can grab it off me on the weekend when you come over.

Thanks can I'm going to pull the flywheel and paint it as well while a new sender turns up could the sender be a warranty job ?? Lol
