Hi Ausfishers

I'm looking at getting a custom fuel tank made to live under the floor in front of the existing tank, but I'm a little worried about having too much weight at the back, the red area marks the existing tank, and the green is where I want to fit a new tank (yes I'm aware I will have to move the oil tank), the blue I would imagine would be a better place but as you can see I would have to cut the plates out to do so, not really an issue I guess, would the green area make for too much weight in the rear? Current tank is 120L and we're looking at adding another 80 - 100L providing that much will fit. What does everyone think?

From a side perspective, the current tank is in line with the "Q" in my rego numbers, and the green area would be in line with the 6/4

Get some (4) 20 litre buckets, fill em up and go for a run. Position them above the various floor spaces and see how the anticipated weight gain effects the dynamics of the hull at various speeds.

I like your thinking, cheers

Good advice, remember petrol weighs 750grams per litre, so weight wise 20L of water is the equivalent of 26L of petrol.
