Horizontal Rod Holders

Hi guys,

Just wondering what side mounted rod holders people use in their boats. With a 12 year old throwing lures all around the place I don't need any added possibilities of him hooking up on something and snapping rods that vertical rod holders sticking up in the boat may bring!! Don't laugh, he's done it on trees when land base fishing!!
With the upcoming purchase of a new boat, I don't think I can stretch the budget for a rod locker set up so looking to fit horizontal holders along the port side of boat. I have attached a photo of boat and where I want to fit. Would appreciate any photos of what people have done and where they got them.

Fore half mount 40mm poly pipes for rod tops, then against the transom some short sections for rod butts is probably going to be your best option.

cut some storm water pipe to length for a cheap fix, or get the jigsaw out and make some up from marine ply, slap some bondcrete on to waterproof them and the jobs done.
