1) When the conditions and spare time line up perfectly, a long day trip planned and all goes smoothly only to find all the fish have taken the day off

2) Mates who show up an hour late to the ramp

3) surfers around the bar.

The fact that sometimes, a fish which has a brain smaller than a pea, can outsmart you.

No 1. Definitely launching locally on Port Philip Bay in Summer to chase a few Snapper or Whiting, and spending 3 hrs on the water...and then spending over 3.5 hrs waiting back at the ramp to retrieve the boat! Never again!
Victoria's boating facilities are just pathetic!

No 2. Forking out big dollars at EVERY suburban Melbourne ramp for said pathetic facilities! Is it any wonder I trail the boat interstate - where the wait is minimal, and the ramps are free?

No 3. The sheer amount of boating newbies at the ramps who have no concept of launching and retrieving - and refuse any offers of help or advice, and get snippy or just plain aggro!

driving to fishing spot from ramp is the only negative part of a fishing day for me.

Dickheads that decide to buzz past you so close when anchored that you could poke a stick at them, when they have the whole frickin ocean to give you some room...

Waiting for fish to come to the surface and when they do having a boat drive straight over the top of them and never seeing the fish again

Oh dear! I could make a comment about how much I also hate 'pulling out' and going home...but that could be considered vulgar, so I won't!

My excuse for my own kids outfishing me, (and the missus, more often than not), is the expert tuition they received from me in the first place!

Trailer sailors who park in the middle of a two lane ramp and take hours to de mast and de rig their boats and people at ramps who don't understand the etiquette involved around ramps and pontoons for example people who put their boat in at the ramp and leave their boat tied the centre pontoon instead of moving it to the side pontoons so the ramp is blocked while they go and park their car or on the return the charge up and park at the central pontoon while the side pontoon has spaces then wander off to get the trailer once again blocking the ramp for people who were either retrieving or launching but who understand them importance of using the other pontoons not just the ramp side pontoon and I also hate grinners as well!

Coming back in to a pontoon with 5 guys fishing off it refusing to move until you get pretty much on top of their lines is always entertaining.
I need to use more speed next time !

Bike riders on the way to the ramp. They seem to have eyes in the back of their heads. I get a few but yet to get a strike. And Greenies.... they annoy me too, they are smelly and frigid.

What's wrong with a beer flavored popsicle......

don't laugh, this is a serious problem when ice fishing here in the states. I have to keep my beer in pockets under my parka. when it gets down there you can't set it on the ice, it will freeze and push a column of frozen foam up out of the top- literally a beer popsicle. you have to really pound them down or you waste have of it to ice.
you should see the store clerks when you ask them for a warm carton to go.

Double dipping fishing regulations, that limit your equipment, but also limit your catch. It should be one or the other, not both.

Bloody squid Ink...bastards are vandals and graffiti artists rolled into one.
I swear they have a way of knowing what is new or old, and aim for the new stuff everytime.
I;ve been known to conduct a public lynch mob type trial onboard for certain squid...some of them deserve the death penalty immediately.

Let me see, firstly jet skis, going to my drift my favourite bank to flick for flathead and it has so many crab pot floats It looks like the lanes at the local public pool, drifting across the reefs at mud island and boats will fly past 20 metres away and then wave hello to you!!, are they serious lol? , and people fishing from boat ramp pontoons, and people who see you casting towards a sand bank but drive their boat between you and the bank, and finally wind, hate the wind..

Without question, getting your drift on the money, hooking up, then someone (or more) motoring over to where you hooked up... and dropping anchor with as much noise as humanly possible. Oh, the joys of fishing Harry's.

I hate when you have cast your arms off without a touch. You are using a lure with THREE trebles - and when a fish finally hits it misses every hook.

O.K. Days like yesterday where I caught 3 GTs in 4 cast, moved on to something different, landed a tuna that have been getting in the river on plastic which was deliberately targetted, move on for a crack at a jew, got a small one and a tailor, mored on again 2 flathead, one 72 the other 74 and finally was going to have a go at popping some whiting but said stuff that I am getting hungry. Back at home 9.30 ,boat washed, eating bacon & eggs. BUT SADLY what PEEVES ME is why can't every day be like this? ;D
Finally I think drinking and fishing are 2 different sports and it is hard to try and excel at one when your concentrating on the other.
