Any feedback of the new Yamaha 130 4 stroke engine?. They weigh almost the same as the 115.
Looking to put to at the back of a Bonito 5m CC.

They are rated to 115, so the options are :
- Suzuki 115
- Yamaha 115 or maybe the 130.

Any feedback will be welcome.

I reckon a 90 would be ample. Mates got a 5.6 Bonnie with 140 Suzi and it pulls like a train!

Not exactly sure why you are considering, or why anyone is suggesting anything over 115HP when that is the max recommended!

As Noel says why is it even a question? Most credible dealers won't fit an engine bigger than the builders plate calls for. The spec isn't just about weight it's also about the vessels speed/ structure and handling.

You may also have issues with insurance if you go higher than the max rated horsepower and/or transom weight. If grunt is a priority you should look at the Evinrude 115HO (which is 130hp) or the Mercury 115CT, which is a 115hp but has a V6 class gearcase and big (2.1L) displacement. The regular Yamaha 115 won't perform like the other two, but it will probably have the best resale.
