Lewis Walkaround 590 boat information

Hi all looking for any information on lewis fishing boats prefarably the walkaround. Are the stringers ect made from wood or fibreglass. Can anyone recommend these boats?

im pretty sure there stringers are wood, since the bowriders n ski are, i dont they change the setup

Hi, these hulls were based on the Buccaneer Billfisher hulls, which are a well regarded New Zealand based boat builder. I had a new 525 Billfisher in 2005 and when we moved to Australia I enquired with Buccaneer about the Lewis & Southern Star boats. They advised they sold the hull moulds to Southern Star but were not sure about construction quality or method. I had the same questions as you - my Buccaneer had composite frames but a timber transom.

Out of interest, I ended up buying a Haines Hunter 580SF 1998 with four stroke on the back. Very nice hull.
