Anyone know who might of made these, and how much they are worth?

Yes I can remember them, could even be a couple we made with a pocket knife on the old man's woodheap early fifties. Carved out of cypress pine.

The aluminium bib was fitted into a slot and tacked on with very small brass boot tacks.

A fine s.s. trace wire was passed through a drilled hole in the body and single or triple hooks fixed on the wire.

We used them on yellowbelly in western creeks with great success.

There was as today, varied ideas about colour but in my opinion each one required an eye.

The only time I ever saw a yellowbelly break the surface was in Nudley Creek N. E. of Chinchilla chasing one of these homemade lures.

Of course back then we used crayfish, shrimps, worms and dare I say frogs "Grey Pissers" for bait.
All history now.

Have fun Haji-Baba
