Guys

I'm in the process of replacing my trailer - Rusted which lasted 10 years

Question i have

1. Is it hard to register a trailer
2. It will carry a boat around 800kg
3. It will be a single axle boat trailer. ( torsion rubber thingys)

thanks

It's not difficult. You'll need to purchase an ID plate from Queensland Transport and have them issue a V.I.N.

Is the old one being sold. If not just 'repair' it

I was going to suggest the same thing, if the old trailer is still registered, just transfer any numbers and so on to the "repaired" trailer.

My old Trailer is a dunbier trailer tandem axle trailer and i am considering replacing it with a chinese build aluminium tralier with Torsion springs and it's a single axle trailer

The price is $2,000 for a complete trailer but no registrations, no paperwork, no Vin etc.

I did it a few years back. Once I had the VIN from Tpt department I had to have the VIN stamped into the trailer. Did it when I went to get a road worthy by the same bloke. You rate the trailer and claim it is up to specs.

I built it in the back yard shed. Had some bits outsourced that I didn't have the gear to fabricate myself.
