G'day all

Interested in comments on the above boat, good/bad whatever. Family member is looking at one with a 2014 115 zuk on it with low hours. I have not been in one of these, only the older 17c's, 16c's etc.I know they are very different boats to these, as is my 635 HH Challenger. Anyone got one? Problems?
Appreciate feedback
Cheers

Should be ok. A newer version of the 17L a bit wider. Should be ok for the bay and on good days head out offshore.

There's a short video of one on You Tube with Matt from John Crawford Marine taking one for a run. Just get on You Tube and type in Haines Hunter 530 Breeze.

I spent a bit of time in one running a 115 merc. Typical small Haines, chews up a bit of chop well but when it gets a bit bigger it throws up the nose as it slowed down. He put tabs on and it was a transformed boat. Kept the nose into the chop and plowed up the ocean as well as any 17 footer.

A good mate of mine has its bigger brother, the 580, and it punches above its weight. Don't know the 530 at all, but I expect a similar pedigree from Haines.

He has had it up to 1770 quite a few times, in some pretty crap conditions too, and out off Fraser thru the WBB once or twice when it was pretty gnarly as well.

Good Haines hull with no real bad habits. Can bury the nose a bit when pushed hard, but hey, that sharp bow is what gives it the good ride. There are always compromises in boating.

The Breeze was the Haines no-frills models; you got the good hull but not all the carpet and bling etc - so they make a great easy-care fishing boat.

The first 15 or so shots in this thread show the 580 hull in action on a crappy morning.
