As above really, would love a app or website for quick fish ID'ing while I'm out.
Thanks

Quuensland Recreational Fishing Guide App from the Qld Government. Just search "Qld Fishing" in the App Store. Or this https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/qld-fishing/id898124000?mt=8

QLD fisheries do an ok one, its a tad slow and you need some sort of connection to get it loaded. also you need to know the name or at least have some idea as the species are listed by name, then you choose one and it will display a picture for most fish but not all. To be honest you're better off buying a small book or even the laminated sheet form bcc with all the fishies pictured with size and take limits. Photo ID beats the hell out of text.

Thanks for the tips.

Since signal is often poor I'll opt for the laminated version. I'll check local tackle shops, if not I'll wait till my next trip into cairns.

Not an app but a pretty good website based on characteristics

These plastic ID cards are the best things ever to have in your box or boat.

Once I start catching more regular I will start to consider taking fish for the table. These cards will be super handy to make sure I'll not break any rules and regs.

thanks guys.
