Hi All,

Needing some information regarding fuel tank size in an early '90s 5.5m Sportfish Deluxe 'Fishing Cuddy" plate alloy boat. Just bought the boat and don't want to get caught out wide. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks, Rob.

Drain it and fill it - that way you will know for sure.

Problem is, it's full to the brim. I've been told it's 200L by the previous owner but they weren't sure either. Hoping someone has some knowledge on these boats to give me a proper idea.

I had a 1999 pacific sport fish 5.8 centre cabin and it had a 180 litre standard tank.

Fingers are crossed that's what this one has. How did you find the 5.8m?

To find the volume of something in litres do the following

Example

Length = 1.5 meters
Height = .5 meters
Width = .5 meters

1.5 x .5 x .5 = .375

As there are 1000 litres in a cubic meter you multiply you answer by 1000

.375 x 1000 = 375 litres

Hope this helps

I can't get to the fuel tank as it has a fully sealed aluminium floor in it otherwise I would've worked it out already.

Loved it. Tough as nails, good slow plane ability in rough water, stable. Needed some care driving down swells however, always needed to trim motor up and stay alert. Once I knew the boat and how it handled, it was fine.

That's the reports I like to hear.
