Bay Of Islands nz charter advice

Hi folks, I will be going on a short touring holiday on the north island of N.Z. after xmas and I would like to include a full day snapper fishing. I was thinking of going out on a charter boat , one with not too many people onboard,probably around The Bay Of Islands area. I would appreciate it if anyone could recommend a boat that would be good value and would be more dedicated to serious fishing rather than a day out for tourists. I will be fishing solo.

I'll be following this post carefully and I am off to New Zealand early next year and wanting to do the same thing. I'll be interested to see what you come up with.

Local tackle shops in Paihia will be able to sort you out. We chartered an Aussie who had a 35 Bertram for the day.
