Hey,

Finally picked up the new boat, the windscreen is pretty tall and joins to clears, i'm a little worried about salt build up impairing my vision, on the old run about i could just pop my head over the top but theres no choice but to look through the salty plastic/glass with this rig.

Has any one had good experiences with windscreen wiper/washer kits?

Hi Airlock,
I just went to the car wreckers & purchased a washer bottle with pump motor to suit the cavity I was installing in & the spray jets from Supercheap.
The wiper motors were these https://www.whitworths.com.au/main_itemdetail.asp?cat=123&item=94102&intAbsolutePage= with Pantographic Wiper Arms
And this wiper switch http://www.tmq.com.au/index.php/categories/windscreen-wipers/wiper-controls-accessories/exalto-rocker-wiper-switch-for-two-hd-wipers.html
Been going strong for 5 years.
All depends on your wiper mounting options as well.

If the screen is glass, regular applications of Rain-X are your best friend - even if you have wipers. Clears can be done with something like Plexus. If you keep the applications regular the water beads and runs off a heap better.

Has any one had good experiences with windscreen wiper/washer kits?Is the screen glass or acrylic? Don't put a wiper on an acrylic screen, it will scratch badly in no time.
Cheers

Glass screen with plastic clears, one small clear between the screen and roof can be folded down but its a pretty small gap.
