I think the Verado has been OK, but they have never been all that popular for some reason!

I think the Verado has been OK, but they have never been all that popular for some reason!

the weight is a bit of a downfall but they still seem to love the verados in the states ... i havent herd anything bad about them just un shore with the supercharger

They may not be as popular as some other models because of the premium price, but they look the goods and seem to go well. If you look at some of the forums in the States, they are all over any issues. I think there is a dedicated Verado forum too...

Morning Mick, one of the Neville brothers has a 200 verado on a 625 - never had problems with it. not sure about the 175 though. I could run it on mine if you pay for it .... ;)

So the boat I looked at on Monday had a over full sump of oil on the port motor looks like the verado (making oil) issue where fuel leeks past the rings and fills sump of fuel rising the oil level.... Any one had this problem???

The f115 yamaha has had the same issue since its inception. The major contributor to this issue is people babying their motors to much. Specially in the first 100-200 hours. Worse thing you can do with a new motor is treat it to softly.

need to run them hard for a while and the issue should go away.

I have an L4 150 Verado with an ECU remap. Never had an issue with the motor in 400 + hours. Wouldn't own anything else.

The old man had twin 175 verados on the back of his boston whaler, he sold it with about 650 hours and no problems at all except for a few nonsense alarms. They must have over 1000 hours now with the new owner. They sure have some grunt!
