Markham dominator 5.6 repower

Hi guys,



Im looking at upgrading the old merc 2 smokes on my 5.6mtr cat, after feed back from people who have repower there cats of similar size, a couple of dealers are quoting up to 50% fuel saving with the new tech motors which I'm sceptical of. Is this realy possible?

I fitted a pair of 90 4 strokes on my Sharkcat and couldn't be happier, more than enough power, fantastic fuel economy, way better than I expected, but, they are heavy compared to old 2 strokes, but I would put up with that, and I seriously doubt I would ever go back.

i looking at fitting a pair of 90 suzukis as they are the lightest at the moment , what brand motors did you fit?

Same, 90 Suzukies, great fuel economy.

What props are you running?

I will have to check, but they are the original Suzuki alloy props, I don't think they are all that good, but the RPM was right, and performance was great, so I didn't bother going for stainless.

i take are it yours is a shark cat 5.6? It would be great to know what sort of economy are you getting, and cruise speed,
My motors are being fitted at the end of next week Cant wait
