wondering if anyone can help me, my oil tank has a leak, and previous owner has tried to patch it but did a poor job, i cant salvage it.

where can i get an oil tank from that doesnt cost a fortune ($200 -$300 for a plastic box) or has anyone else made their own, or used a non marine tank?

TIA

what about the outboard sales/installers who must remove countless numbers of these things as they replace older 2 strokes with 4 strokes?

What size engine? Had a mariner that cramped it is oil mixer/injector. Nearly seized motor. Going to cost a fortune to fix but mechanic said alternative was to premix the two stroke. Never missed a beat after that

Try the wreckers, of no one has one, just bite the bullet and get a new one, messing about patching that type of plastic will end in a breakdown when it starts leaking again.
