Towed this ashore off Cairns

110688110687110686110689Went for a pleasant run up the coast off Cairns this morn with wifey, and seen this in the distance about 2 km s offshore. Far out! Id hate to collide with this !
So we towed it ashore.

Ha yes I had a look but it was only 2 km s offshore
we see this sort of thing after the wet season but this time of year! Sheesh

I've seen plenty of big floating logs after a good wet but your's takes the cake. Big tides love pulling old vegetation off the land, this is a brilliant example. Take your leg off hitting that at night, nasty.

Good on ya odes, did u tow it up the rocks with the 4by? it may wash back in on high or king tide if not

Its up pretty high. mate I was in my boat not my 4 BY I drove past and its still up there as I brought it in at high tide.

I found a big cable spool off a ship, three of us just got it onto my deck and dumped it at port for the Council, would have made a mess of a glass boat at night! Bl**dy crabs though coming off it, must have been 30 of the little buggers running around the boat hahaha.
