Gent's
The old wake boat has developed a "slip" in the drive train somewhere. It's worse under load.
Thought it was a prop but put a new prop and bushes on and didn't fix it.
Had the gearbox re-built last year and seemed pretty strong for 6 months but along came the slip. - Thinking it might be from the upper leg or shaft somewhere.
It's outside my scope of knowledge and hard to find so looking for a mechanic with some knowledge of sterndrives on the Gold Coast or Northern New South Wales region.
The leg is an OMC Cobra leg.
I'm looking out through the window now and the river is glass - it's got me thinking to get it ready for summer.

Hi Brett

I have a guy here on the Gold Coast who has done a couple of jobs for me on a mates stern drive while he has been OS. Good work on the leg and also changed over the manifolds risers to SS. Not sure if he does OMC Cobra but I can check if you want.

Cheers

PS Still awaiting riverbank update and pics!!!

looks like your ring and pinon gear on top of the leg is damaged due to incorrect oil change in gearbox
