I am buying a new 7m boat and trailer and was wondering what are the best quality 14" tyres to go on the trailer?

If you stick with one of the major brands, and use a LT rated tyre, you can't go too far wrong. The likes of Continental, Bridgestone, Yokohama, Goodyear will be the best.

I just got a pair of Continental 185/70/14's for my single axle trailer earlier this year from BJ t-Marts, they look very good, and are OEM on Mercedes and Renault delivery vans and the like. Previously have used Yokahamas and was happy with them too.

Stay away from the cheap Chinese ones that the trailer builders will supply. They are simply Garbage.

Check out Goodyear, buy 3 get one free with free rotation and balance every 5000 kms. Be good if you showed where you are, maybe you don't have a Goodyear outlet but cant tell!

get light truck tyres cos they can handle 40-65 psi, which is what you need to run.

Poke your eyes over this http://www.bridgestone.com.au/tyres/passenger/care/age.aspx

5-6 years life that is without salt water ingress into the steel belts rusting them away.

i have upgrade option under my 3T 2300 noosacat...only tiny 13 inch wheels 195 50 R13 which wayne specially sources for his trailers
You can get them at quite a few place in Aus but they prob have order in for you

MAXXISS tyres Trailermaxx CR966...they hold 900 or 950kg per tyre on super low profile sides instead of the fat LT tyres normally people all use on trailers so whole rig sits lower and doesnt squish around, runs like a train

I run 80 PSI with max load at 94 PSI

Maxxis LT. Great tyres. I would pay more for them. Great quality low price. Great for 4wd also.
