I currently have a 90hp 2 stroke Mercury on the above boat. It goes really well but it's noisy and smelly and with a load onboard it revs at 5500 - 6000 and slows down a bit in a heavy current.
I'm sure there are people on this forum who know the in's and out's of motors......
I saw Yamaha have a new 115 B four stroke out which looks great. It's only about 171 kg.
I know a guy who put a 140 Suzuki 4 stroke on the exact same boat as mine and he says it's a bit heavy for the rear end of the boat.
Do you reckon I would get much more power out of a 115 four stroke over a 90 two stroke?
