What is a good paint to use on the brackets, mounts and parts of the Johnson?

Everything is now sandblasted and ready for etch primer and top coat.

Ive seen guys use the epoxy white from a spray can, but is this the way to go?

I have my own spray equipment and can spray paint.;D

After the etch , I would spray on a wet on wet 2 pac primer of what ever brand you wish and then after 15min flash off I'd spray some white 2k of which you could get matched close to the Johnson colour. That is put the 2k on straight over the wet on wet primer without sanding it.

As Darren said.
etch, then epoxy primer. Wet on wet is ok. Then top coat. Leave 15 mins between coats.
What part of bris u live?
If you have a part with the colour then take it and get it colourmatched.
I work for an auto paint place and we do colourmatching.

Gidday Seahorse mate... Im actually Mid North Coast, Harrington Waters 2427. Sorry mate, not in Brizvegas...LOL

I followed you and Darren on the wet on wet technique, (being an ex spraypainter). I wasnt sure if there was a specific 2k for marine outboards, so i can use an automotive 2k then?

The Eggbeater is a little this and that in the white colour department as its been obviously touched up here and there. Since im going to actually paint the whole motor and cowl, then lay down new decals, i might aswell find a colour code that is recognised as a factory formula tint.
Do you have that code?
The motor is a Johnson Seahorse 60HP, '80's model. I would imagine they kept with the same code through the models?
