Got the prop back from Solas yesterday after hitting the bottom at the Boyne entrance. To say I was amazed at how well it come up is an understatement. The guys have done an excellent job and the prop actually looks like new

Definitely not a new one. Can see the original hub. Skeg didn't get touched Weird hey. I don't know how they fixed it but I am one happy chappy. Water test next Thursday

Hi,

What was the cost of the repair? I have two Solas props with chewed edges from where the previous owner hit something. Not anything as bad as your picture but certainly not suitable for use in their current state. They are sitting in the shed at present but wondered if it was worth repairing them. They are off a 140 Suzuki.

Thanks

Michael

Same thing happened to my prop once. Bashed up the prop( not as bad as yours though) and Skeg wasn't damaged. Cheer's.

The Solas team can fix a prop!

I dropped off a 4 blade for my old DF140 that was worn, bent, dinged and I seriously considered throwing it in the bin and starting over.

$180 or $200 (can't remember exactly) later it looked brand new. I could not find an imperfection on it.

Hi Michael,

The cost was $150 and had it done about three days after putting in. Was an excellent service. Dropped in stated they will have it like new and will give me a call in three days when ready which they did. Brilliant. I am guessing they charge $75 per hour so if it is not that bad would probably be cheaper.

Cheers

You gotta love good service AND good workmanship! How rare is that these days??
