Beats me, also had the sales staff confused!!!

The VMC hooks I purchased, states on the packet label: Code 8527, 6X strong, and the little fist shows a 4X

Their catalogue states 8527 are 4X, with a 4X in the fist.

Their 6X Strong and 6X fists are codes 7560 and 8560.

I emailed VMC a few weeks ago and had no reply.

Either a label misprint, or they've changed the specS.

Can anyone shed some light?

Sorry Astro, can't answer the health benefits, only know that Owner ST66 will straighten and break on big Gulf barra, and they rust quicker than the VMC 4X

yeah typo for sure....they are vanadium steel ...two storms in two days ....out last night but the stingrays/shovels and crabs were killing all the live baits then a huge storm come over and just made it home :D
