anchor winch for v17l, anyone done it? ideas?

Would like to fit an anchor winch but the 17l doesn't have a well. There must some around with winches. Considering robbing the front third of the cabin and glassing in a well with mounting point for winch. any ideas or pics would be great. Thanks.

Sounds like a deck mounted drum winch would be easier.
