Barry Kliese remebered

You may recall a post by Lucky Phill re his recently departed friend and family member, Barry Kliese, this is an update although a little late. In memory of Barry the Pelican Waters Tavern Fishing Club has included in its annual awards the Barry Kliese Angler of the Year trophy for the most consistent fisher and best club person. Jan Kliese attended the Christmas function which was wonderful to see and gave the trophy to the inaugural winner Marcus (Benny) Jewry. Barry's spirit lives on in the club.

Thanks for the thread.

I am sure Barry would be chuffed at this memorial, although knowing him, a little embarassed.

The actual wording of the award does represent all that Barry was to fishing and club fishing.

Consistent fisher and Club Person..... sums him up pretty well.

Really happy to see Jan there handing over the award.
