There might be the odd tailor still hanging back, but most would have headed south by now. If there are any left behind, then generally they will be the bigger models.

Heading there on Saturday for a week roughing it though at Happy Valley, Realy looking forward to it the larger models BUT if not then that is OK, they are a bonus if caught.

Just bring some big popper and go to the cape and see if you can drag a GT out of the surf or straight of the rocks at waddy.

Woofa,

Friday the 12th December sees school holidays start and an influx of people to Fraser. So be prepared for the hordes.

If you can get to the bigger Tailor, as stated, they will on the back banks of the gutters and using something like a 9 wrap 14ft rod and a chunck of mack tuna as bait, could see you pull in a resident monster.

Other than that, the Whiting are good in numbers at Waddy and in the corner towards Orchid Beach. Certainly the Dart will be about, but getting through the little ones to the larger species will require patience.

Waddy Beach is a great place to camp despite the crowds as there are allocated camp sites now. Only some have fire rings and they are the only place you can have a fire.

Please be Dingo aware and lock up everything as per the booklet you'll recieve.

Not too sure how big the Marsh Flies will be this year, but last year they were so big, they had Landing Lights on the front :o

A trip to the Cape with poppas and slugs is always worth it, and sitting under the shade of the Sheoaks, downing a coldie is certainly the way to go to get away from people. having said that, be careful around Nagala Rocks....

Good luck and have a great trip.

cheers LP

Mick week (catholic schools get an extra week off) starts on the 6th. I'll be up there at the same time. Not targeting tailor though.
