1997 mercury 40hp not charging

Hi guys, I have a 1997 mercury 40hp which has stopped charging my battery. Battery went flat while out on the water on sunday when I got home I charged the battery and it reads 13.6 and stays at 13.6 when motor is running. Stator was replaced 12 months ago. Any help where to start next would be great, thanks.

Hey guys I still have not fixed this problem. Can you tell me how to test the stator and regulator, I have a multi metre. Thanks

Check for an AC voltage coming out of the stator. If you have good AC but no DC out then rectifier/regulator is most likely cause.
