Guys, getting a concrete slab for the boat.

What thickness should I be looking at? Have been quoted 100mm.

boat is 3.5 tonnes on double axle trailer. Would 100mm be sufficient if it the boat was 4.5t on a double axle?

Ample mate that's a normal shed slab / house slab thickness ....3.5 t is not much weight .. seriously .

Agree... 100mm, F72 or F82 mesh.
You could run a thickening beam across the front edge for extra strength if you wanted to.

You could go for a higher mpa strength as well, not much dearer.

This is the way to do it. Can be as little as a few bucks fer cube.

Would do this with anything as the crete wont dint or scratch if you drop or drag anything.

When I did mine I went 25/10/80 in onyx colour. I set a thickening edge beam to the outside and thickening beams at 3.0m centres with 3 bar trench mesh as the bottom layer and 82 as the top layer of fabric, all at 125 thick min. 10mm stone goes through the pump easier. Jim. Fabric grades below,

SL82
Sheet
7.60@200 main wire
6.00@100 edge wire
7.60@200 main wire
52 Kg/Mass

SL72
Sheet
6.75@200 main wire
4.75@100 edge wire
6.75@200 main wire
40 Kg/Mass

as the guys say above, thickening along the edge and where ever else.
I did my one myself, just hiring the bloke to come and help pouring/finishing.
This cost less than half the original quote and was prepared much better-no one will EVER spend as much time as yourself preparing the site.

First question is what is the ground like you are putting the slab over........nobody can state a suitable slab thickness if the ground is unstable.

if the ground is "unstable" you shouldnt put a slab on it before stabilizing it.
Involves levelling and compacting

What does the site classification for your house say about the substrate? Assuming your house had one done prior to the build. Substrate is everything, then you design accordingly.

It could involve much more than levelling and compacting......just saying.

Double axle you can comfortably get away with 50-75mm
