Pearl Perch in the north

I was talking to a fisheries officer recently who said he has seen pearl perch in catches from wide of Townsville on the edge of the shelf. What is the furthest north you've seen or heard of these fish?

We caught Pearlies at Swains Reef, Good size as well.
