Is to many??

Heading out in the houseboat for 5 days and there will be the grand daughter (15) who loves to fish and her girl friend, the ol girl and myself.

Thinking about parking half way between the pin and the seaway, so of a day we will be pinning it to suss out the flatties and of a night, probable on my own ill be in the seaway hunting jewies.

Taking in consideration all the possibilities how many rods would you except as fair..

I take a minimum of four rods for myself alone whenever to go fishing, all rigged differently for species or technique.
I'd be thinking 6 to 8.

one each for the kids, one for the missus then three for your self.. light spin rod for the flatties, slightly bigger for the trevors and jew on plastics and onother one slightly heavier again for livebaiting for jew.. yep 6.

all the rods you own :) I think you need 11, 4 for you, 2 each for the girls, and 1 for the pot, I figure that would cover just about everything you would be likely to catch.

4x3 is 12, and not all would be in the water at the same time I would imagine. That reminds me I saw someone fishing at Gladstone yesterday with 6 rods, his mate was probably on his way. but I doubt it.
