Just browsing boatsonline and came across this

http://www.boatsonline.com.au/boats-for-sale/used/power-boats/precision-custom/154948

seems awfully cheap for a 20m boat, even taking account motors need work.... am I missing something, has it been sunk ?

It'd make a great little weekender :)

sounds OK, but it does "need work" which could be anything from a couple hundred dollars to a months work for a specialist and cost 150 grand......

it would cost a fortune to run as a private vessel. Govt vessels are usually propelled with no thought to economy, just performance.

Mind you, if you could find a cheap mooring somewhere, it wuld indeed make a great "water front" week ender.

I reckon when the Bring Out Another Thousand (BOAT) term was coined, they were talking about this one! It would be an endless hole in the water IMHO

Wrong, on a boat over 30 feet it`s " Bring Out Another Ten"

I would offer $120-$130K you could speed another $200k plus on a refit

I like the "was" in "... was capable of 24 knots..."

BTW, it says SOLD down the bottom Dave.
