Hey Guys,

Been a while since selling the Striper2.

Just placed a deposit on a Shark Cat 23 foot for a bit of a project ready for summer.

Just wondering if anyone knows any cat trailers for 23ft for sale? Need one pretty urgently...

Thanks fellas.

Mustang,
Good luck with the search, they dont come up to offen, took me several months to find one for mine, I was actually in the process of buying the materials to make one when I saw it advertised and then only just got in infront of several other people chasing one.
Great project boat, I have spent a lot of hours doing mine, but have enjoyed almost all of it, great stress relief as I could go out and just loose myself working on the boat.
I will keep an eye out for you down this way.

Doug

Thanks mate. How's the ride on them? I know they are highly sort after.

This one has twin 150s so I'm guessing she'll be thirsty but you pay for comfort

What happened to the Riptide project Owen, still waiting on it and the SC is a fill-in, or pulled the pin?
Cheers

Mustang,
Still waiting to finally get mine in the water, next few months, currently at the fibreglassers for pods and paint job, them finish fitting it out, I have 200 yammi 4's to go on back. Everything I have ever read tells me they have a great ride, really itching to try it out.

Nice mate. I should be making the deal today so I may even need to borrow a trailer if need be to get her home out of the mooring. Plan I sand and paint her.

Are you using Adam Milner for the fibreglass work mate?

I guess the sutherland mentioned is near me ( unless there is another one) just south of Sydney, let me know if it is and if you need anything checked out from this end, it's only about 45 mins from me.

Got it. Might be a bit too much work for my timeframe that one. May even have to buy new at this stage. Anywhere know any with a quick turnaround?

Fishard,
Mate yes I am, great bloke, does excellant work, couldn't be happier, so far he has put pods on the back to take the 4 strokes, swim deck between the pods, cut the old wells out glassed the whole transom area so I now have a flat back section and painted it.

Mustang,
good luck rubbing it back, mine wasn't to bad a condition, still took me well over a week and then the fibreglasser and his mate spent another week on it. when you look at the outside surface area including the tunnel they are a big boat. Good luck witht the project.

I thought it sounded familiar! My boat is next in the queue, so don't give him any extra jobs!
And yes, Adam is a champion bloke!

Fishard,
Hes's got several in the yard at the moment, which one is yours, it should be done by the next time I'm home, he's going to help me fit the motors on then I'm finished with him for a while.

Hey guys, can anyone tell me the keel to keel dimensions of a 23 shark cat?

Trying to match up with a trailer but finding it a little difficult

Mustang,
Sorry mate cant do at the moment, still in WA for another week, if you haven't got them by next Friday, give me a call on 0400712406 and I'll go get them for you. What type of sharkcat is it, the earlier ones are about 75mm narrower.

It's a 23 Bruce Harris. It's currently moored so unless I get the dive gear out haha...

Trailer I have lined up has a 1650mm keel to keel roller setup with a 700mm tunnel brace.... Was thinking it might be a bit narrow after looking at the big girl?

Mustang,
as it was explained to me in a previous thread, the older sharkcats have a curve at the top of the hulls where it meets the deck at the bow, the newer ones are straight and are about 75mm wider. Sorry dont have a picture on this computor to show you. Mate as I said, I'm home Friday morning if you need the measurements I'll get them then for you.

Had a thought and rang the fibreglasser that currently has my boat, he has measured the hulls to be 1680 centre to centre and the hull width is about .570 at the bottom, hope this helps. Doug.

I have a tri-axle trailer off a 1987 model 23 foot (7metre) Sharkcat. The boat was an actual Sharkcat too, not a wannabe one.
Are you still chasing one? If so P.M me your contact details and I will shoot you through some photos.

Cheers Hino.
