Very good mate just make sure you get the best interest rate last boat I had was 13% never had a problem then up sized the boat then got it for 9%.we never missed a payment so I would expect them to be good
cheers scott
I've used them twice ... and like any finance , if you stick to the repayments - you wont hear from them.

I got mercury finance on my new outboard I used yamaha finance as a bargaining chip to get the best interest rate best mercury could do was 9% Played the card that a mate got yamaha finance on 6% in the end mercury did 5% everyone is fighting to give you finance these days why not play them against each other

Do you have to buy a yamaha to use there finance?

Nah, you can use Yamaha finance when buying privately through a broker if you like. There's a bit of paperwork involved and a week of back and forth, but once set up all good.
I'll be using them again - the better your credit rating, the better your chance to bargain a better rate.

Not for everyone, but consider sticking on your credit card (if you have the limit) and then transferring to a 12-18 months zero interest card.
Worked for me as I am self employed and found it difficult to get good terms from both Merc and Yamaha without payg statements.

Yamaha finance used to be for authorized dealers snd the interest was great, but recently they have moved into a "proper" finance operation, and they offer finance to any brand now, but the interest is a bit higher than it used to be.

All finance is negotiable so no matter what it is or who haggle away and try to get a lower rate, as shy guys said play them off against each other to your benefit I did and I have no probs and I have ymf.

The old credit card then balance transfer is the best trick if you can pay it pack in 12 months. Just make sure you dont miss any payments or they will get you really good though.
