prop for suzuki 200

hi all ... iam wanting too buy or get a lone of a genuine suzuki SS 3x 16x 18.5 prop for a DF 200. iam running a ss 3x 16 x 20 on a 6m seafarer victory and wanting too try the smaller prop which will bring my wot rpm up 200-250 rpm from 55-5600rpm closer too the max of 6000rpm . i know about after market props OEM like solas etc but want a genuine suzuki . if any one knows of one for sale or is willing too lone me one in SEQ please PM me ... cheers mick

Pretty sure Solas manufacture the Suzuki stainless props.........I bought a new SS 3x20x14 off Ebay a couple of years ago boxed as a genuine Suzuki OEM part for less than $400 delivered..........

Hey mate I'm playing with props now on my 200 Suzi. OEM was a 20 I had shaved down, now trying solas 4 blade. If you wanna try my Suzi prop happy to loan. Send me a pm.

Cheers Chris ..what boat r u running the 200 on ? Did you get your 20 shaved too a 18.5 ? Did you have it cupped ?... I only ask as This is the reason I am after a genuine stamped suzuki prop as the OEM ones have too be shaved too 18.5 and I think the blades on my OEM 20 are a bit soft ..but that could just be my prop tho .. Hi Mick,
I had the 200 Suzi on my 6.2 Seafarer Venom. I settled on the 16x19 Solas prop and it was great! Would pull 40 kts in lightship mode at about 5700rpm. Plenty of holeshot and grunt across the rev range. I was also told that Solas make the oem Suzuki props. That prop would give you plenty of scope to carry a good load in the Victory.

hey mate.. i vaguely remember asking you about props a while ago ...did you eva try a 18.5??.. funny how suzuki do a 18.5 yet solas OEM don't too my knowledge anyway they have too be shaved.. and i think most of that work is done by yan Propeller Repairs Australia but i could be wrong... cheers

No, I got my 16x19 from Solas Australia. I tried a few others through Solas(can't remember them, but a couple were 4 blades) and it was the best match to the motor and Hull. Great combo!

While Solas may or may not make Suzuki props, that doesn't mean that a SS Solas prop is the same design as a OEM Suzuki prop, in fact you can almost guarantee that they are different.

S don't go buying a Solas thinking you are getting the same thing for cheaper.
