I think I may be the perfect Deckie for your new craft ....as Iam colour coded to match ( green with envy) Lookin forward to seeing some pics of fish blood & guts on her .

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah it's a nice thing. Took it for a run on Saturday. I'm happy with the performance. I haven't got a huge amount of experience in bigger trailer boats but I didn't expect the performance to be as impressive as it is. Around 80kmh WOT. Not that you'd ever run it that hard.
My my first experience with driving onto a trailer was a bit nerve racking but it all went well. Fingers crossed many years of trouble free, blood covered boating.

It hasn't been on the scales but ready to fish it would be a bit over 2.5t. It's on a 3t trailer just to be safe.

How does the collie go towing it? Ive got a collie and wondered how it would towing something relatively heavy.

I was was surprised how well it towed. Purred at 95 kmh in 4th (manual). Did it in 5th but 4th felt sweeter. Used 15.8l/100km towing from Brisbane to Hervey Bay. My old d22 3.0l navara used 15l/100km towing my stacer 529 tinny.

Sure was. Thought we'd try it there before we took it wide. Fishing was hard work for us. How'd you go?
