I have a bow mounted Watersnake which apparently draws up to 48 amps. I want to locate the battery at the stern - about 5 meters of cabling needed.

Is this OK to run cable that far? If so, what type of cable do I need, and where can I buy it?

Thanks,

Brett

3BS at battery world

Thanks, Garry, but I can't find anything on Battery World side about cabling, or "3BS".

Cheers,

Brett

Brett,

Any auto electrician should have this cable in stock. Or even go a little heavier if you want - 2 B&S cable.
The bigger the cable the less chance of voltage drop!
3 B&S cable sells for around $7/metre

Another good source is Autoelecau off Ebay. Really good prices and advice.
AWG is a similar scale to B&S
