Yamaha F30B Question

Hi,
Just wondering if any Yamaha outboard experts out there might be able to help me.

I'm wondering if you can increase the horsepower in a F30B by replacing or removing something and turning it into a F40?

I've found a few articles about Mercury and Carby Yamaha Outboards horse increases by removing or replacing something and I'm wondering if this can be done on the new F30B?

The displacement, bore and stroke are the same so is it just a F40 detuned?

Yep, Change the ECU and the Cam shaft and your away..... Have you read the Yamaha parts thread?

Did you ever think the 40 might be a 30 "souped up" rather than the 30 being a 40 with parts added to reduce the HP?
