looking for an old haines

as the title states im looking for an old haines 145/445 or maybe a 16r to rebuild with the old man. not worried about condition as i would rather replace stringers/transom/floor as i go anyway. i have fund one close to home in an old blokes back yard but it belongs to a mate of his sons who seems impossible to get a hold of. if anyone knows of one please let me know either here or by text 0433624620. looking to spend around 1k

Just keep your eye on ebay and gumtree mate. I love the old haines', and usually have a flick through those 2 websites most days looking at whats around. While a few pop up for around your price range, I think about 2500-3500 is the average "cheap" 445/146. I picked up a v133 about 6 weeks ago for $250 that was advertised on Gumtree for $600. There was a 17r half stripped down about 4 weeks ago for $700.
