Is a PFD 1 life jacket ok for off shore use still ? (In a boat over 7 meters )
I Just tried to find some info on this and one site said that PFD 1 was for inshore and PHD 150 is for off shore is this correct ?
Thanks Dave

The 150N PFD's give you a longer "float" time than the 100N.
I have 150N's on my boat anyway for piece of mind even though I don't go offshore. The Bay's a large enough expanse of water though.
Cheers,
Chris

I have off shore inflatable life jackets but I just don't feel rite about relying on them solely.

How about getting some of the good old red coloured traditional high density foam packed ones for piece of mind. At least you know if the need arose they'd work, and you wouldn't have to rely solely on a CO2 cartridge to come to the party.
Cheers
