Hi team , well the time has come for all the fishermen & boaties in this region to stand up and be counted,, literality ! We from CQBRAG are asking that all our fellow fishermen/women and boaties that have ever had ANY hassles with launching and retrieving from the ramps and then finding a park at good ol landlocked Rosslyn Bay Harbor (RBH) to support yourselves. According to our State member for Keppel, Mr Bruce Young ,apparently only Clive King and myself are the only ones to have ever complained to him about the parking problems and the tickets issued for illegal parking at our one and only deep-water access facility(RBH)::). If fact almost 12 months to the day there was a high level strategic land-use concept plan for Rosslyn Bay Boat Harbour which was to set the direction for future harbour management, safe and efficient access to our waterways, sustainable marina development and promote tourism, Mr Ian Sturdy, Executive Director of Strategic Property Managementhttp://cdncache-a.akamaihd.net/items/it/img/arrow-10x10.png (http://www.ausfish.com.au/vforum/#) Qld Govt was in attendance also local harbor business owners, etc ,but not CQ BRAG anyway apparently this meeting found that there was NO issues with parking at RBH ?? ;)
So now team what we are proposing is, and we need to get as many of the rego paying boaties to turn up at one time in one area to show Mr Young what really happens to most of us on any good weathered day . The plan is to meet IN AN ORDRERLY MANNER at RBH at 09.30am , please find a park , wherever you can find a park??:P We will then will have talks with Mr Young and whoever else we can find from the State Govt about the lack of infrastructure in our region>:( .
We would also like some indication of the number of you that would indeed use an All tide multi ramp and parking facility at Fishermans Beach Emu Park ,We also plan a goldhttp://cdncache-a.akamaihd.net/items/it/img/arrow-10x10.png (http://www.ausfish.com.au/vforum/#) coin donation charity sausage sizzle and thats it, then go fishing . Oh ,,,make sure your boat & car is nice and pretty because I think they may even be a TV ,newspaper camera crew or two about ??!!!!!:-X . SO,If you know anyone that can tow a boat bring them along too,& PLEASE make sure everything is legal and roadworthy !!! Ideas & thoughts and support PLEASE
