Hi,

Anyone know what this hatch / latch / lock ? is called, as I cant seem to find it on ebay. bcf. bias etc.

And you will continue not to find it at any of those places. It is not a marine product.
Its a cast alum domestic window product often refered to as an "Ejection Seat Handle" We used them on F1-11s doing fisheries patrols, and early bondwood boats doing coastal bar crossings.

That looks like the old latches that Stacer used on their windscreens for many years.
Maybe contact Stacer and see if you can buy one.

Shark poker was almost right
it is a casement window self latching handle
they use them on awning,hopper and casement windows
boat guys just bought them from the window mobs like G James or Windows and Glass

thanks guys, I found them on ebay now. and yep good call it is from a Stacer.

check it first for the gap between the mounting holes and also the height below the closing arm.
There are two types still getting around.

I have some, probably about 10, in my shed.

thanks guys, I found them on ebay now. and yep good call it is from a Stacer.

i replaced mne on the Stacer a couple of months ago. Had a hell of a job finding them.

Ended up getting some from a place in Rocklea. Let me know if you need the details

they were originally made by Whitco, most hardwares should sell them.
