Just had a read that the crocs are coming. It stands to reason that if we are getting Barra and King Salmon and Grunter down here now that the other bitey things will be following. The first link is about the prospect of crocs coming down

and the second

is that there are now a pair of Crocs in the Mary River not just one. Will have to find out what is required for a Tourist boat that will teach crocs to jump. we could catch a few Barra and Salmon and have a big salty jump for chook frames. Could be a good business in a few years. No need to go to NQ Just hop of the plane and straight out on the boat. There's money to be made in crocs.8-);D

This is not the first time crocs have been spotted this far south, there was a report of a 4.5m croc shot in the Logan river in 1905. There is a picture of the event on this article together with a map that shows where crocs have been sighted including a few in the Noosa river.

Hector was a freshy and they are no real threat to humans
might frighten a chihuahua though
no concern until some one gets taken, as long as they aren't you or yours lol

Hector was probably an orphan stolen from some ancestral land in Far North Qld. My uncle used to live on the Barron River out side Kuranda 45 years ago and he said that some one had released a few crocs in the Barron above the waterfall. You could hear them or it roaring during breeding season. We use to swim in the Barron but after crocs came it was a very nerve wracking experience.
